Xbox Live is down, bringing some apps and games offline

Microsoft's Xbox Live service has encountered a problem and many users cannot sign in to the Xbox console. The problem seems to have started around 3pm today, and many Xbox users report that they can't access some apps and games by signing in to their Xbox One console.

If you are signed in to your Xbox One console to use apps like Spotify, Plex, or Amazon Video, Verge will not be able to access these apps during this Xbox Live outage. Netflix will continue to work, but games such as Fortnite and Destiny 2 will not work properly unless you sign in to Xbox Live.

“You have reported a problem Sign in”, says Microsoft's Xbox Support Team on Twitter. “The team is now active! We'll let you know more information as soon as possible.”

Xbox This is the second time Live has had a major problem this year. In January, the Xbox Live service crashed for hours, leaving many people with a black screen. I have contacted Microsoft for details of the latest Xbox Live outage and will update accordingly.
