Windows 10 Hero

After the release of the new Windows 10 preview compilations for Fast and Release Preview Insiders earlier this week, there is now an optional new update for those of you who are running the Windows 10 May 2019 update ( through Windows Central). Build 18362.329 (KB4512941) comes with a fairly long list of quality improvements, including a solution to a problem that prevents certain games from taking advantage of Space Audio capabilities.

This new compilation also brings compatibility improvements for Win32 applications running in Windows Mixed Reality environment, a new capability that was introduced with the May 2019 update. You can check the full list of bug fixes and improvements in This compilation follows:

  • Fixes a problem that leads to excessive memory utilization in Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP).
  • Improves detection accuracy of Microsoft Defender ATP Threat & Vulnerability Management.
  • Resolves a problem in which Windows Defender Application Control will not allow third-party binary files to be loaded from an application on the Universal Windows Platform. In this scenario, Active Directory returns a status of "SUCCESS" even though the change did not occur.
  • A problem that can prevent devices from starting when they are started using images from the Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) of Windows Deployment Services (WDS)) or System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) is fixed.
