Tinder is launching a new feature for all users today called Festival Mode that will allow users to add a badge to their profile announcing the music festivals they will be attending this summer. The application will ask users to make a selection on the Festival Mode card, which will give other users a notice that they will be at a festival and possibly be willing to meet.
Users will be able to select between 12 festivals. UU as in the United Kingdom, such as Governors Ball, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, EDC Las Vegas and Lovebox. Each option of the festival will be opened three weeks before the event. The application will give priority to potential parties that plan to attend the same festival and show people around the world who will be there, even if they are outside of the user's location preferences.
Tinder says in his release that he already noticed Tinder downloads increase during festivals. The activity of the application increased up to 300 times the norm during Bonnaroo last year, says the company. In addition to the digital function, the company will also execute a brand activation in certain festivals that will include photographs and the opportunity to win updates and VIP products.
The product version follows the launch of Tinder's Spring Break mode for its Tinder U users. That feature worked in a similar way, since students could select where they planned to travel for spring break and then receive an ID in your profile. Ideally, people would use the event as an excuse to meet in person.
