As originally reported by Piunikaweb we quietly removed the voice pixel matching unlock feature from the latest Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL phones. This feature, previously available on the previous two Pixel devices, has allowed users to unlock the assistant features of their phones using the & # 39; OK Google & # 39; command. We've confirmed that this feature is no longer available on the support page. "On a Pixel 3 phone, you can not unlock your phone by saying & # 39; Ok Google & # 39; but instead use the Google Assistant on the lock screen."
It is a feature that is big enough to lose the Pixel owner. The previous Pixel phone allowed me to make phone calls, send messages, and access third parties. You can download apps through Google Assistant Voice Assist without unlocking your phone. In Pixel 2's Assistant settings, the "Unlock with Voice Match" toggle has now been toggled in the Pixel 3 settings with the "Screen lock personal results" toggle. Now, "Use voice matching to access personal results like emails, calendars, contacts, and notify when your phone is locked."
@madebygoogle @Google 1) I got my pixels. 3. I was very excited. The original Pixel sent the data. I tried "okay Google call mom". I did not work. Did you solve the problem on your own? We have resolved the issue for two hours with our support team.

The reason we removed this feature is not clear, but there is a theory that voice matching can have some security flaws. A person with a similar voice or voice recording can unlock the phone. Another reason is that it's a better solution for hands-free access and Google can see a new Pixel Stand that can use Google Assistant without docking your phone when docked.
