Microsoft's ultra-compact notebook-tablet hybrid Surface Go was originally released with 4GB RAM, 64GB SSD budget model $ 399, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD model, and $ 549. Then in July, Costco began selling $ 549 bundles, including Surface Go with 4GB of RAM, a 128GB SSD and a surface type cover (which would cost $ 99 separately). The Costco model has now expired and the 4GB / 128GB variant is now available for $ 499 at the Microsoft Store. Unfortunately, there is no current inventory, but a Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that the company is working to replenish the model.
The Microsoft deal for $ 499 for a laptop is not as good a deal as the Costco bundle, but it includes a surface cover. An 8GB / 128GB variant that doubles RAM is also around $ 50. Think carefully before you think.
