If you are using OneNote on iPad, a surprise awaits you. Microsoft has announced that Sticky Notes integration is now being implemented in the iPad version of the popular note-taking application.
Sticky Notes integration was now implemented for everyone for OneNote iPad! What will you do with the sticky notes in @msonenote ? https://t.co/MA5ToULOYx[19659003▪—Notesadhesivas(@stickynotes) October 4, 2019
To see the Sticky Notes inside OneNote for iPad, all you need to do is restart the application. Once you do, you should be able to select Start, and the Sticky Notes icon will appear on the far right of the screen. However, at this time it would seem that the function only works with standard Microsoft accounts, since we could not see sticky notes created with an Office 365 account.
In related news, Microsoft is also implementing a dark mode for users with the beta version of Office applications for iPad, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote. As we show below, the dark mode does not necessarily apply to all parts of the applications. With Word, only the top part of the user interface will get dark. In PowerPoint, most of the other parts of the application are dark, including the slide preview area on the right side of the screen. Finally, in OneNote, all pages darken, unlike the Android experience.
Once the beta test is completed, you can expect these same dark mode features to be implemented in the standard versions of the application. For now, you can sign up for beta testing the dark mode through Apple's Test Flight program, but keep in mind that seats are extremely limited.
