SoundCloud adds lossless streaming to its Go+ service

SoundCloud brings lossless audio to Go + streaming service. Users who subscribe to the $ October service will be able to hear all the music that they have uploaded to SoundCloud in high-quality audio format by selecting the "Streaming Quality" option in the settings at no additional charge.

Both Tidal and Deezer currently offer lossless audio streaming, but you pay a premium to access audio quality. Both services charge $ 20 per month for each hi-fi audio layer. Tidal and Deezer stream lossless audio using 44.1 kHz / 16 bit FLAC, but Tidal also offers a high resolution audio layer called Masters that streams FLAC or WAV at 96 kHz / 24 bit.

SoundCloud did not mention a lossless container to use for streaming audio, but has contacted the company and is updated when heard again.
