When I first noticed that Slack, a popular workplace messaging app, would trade nicely the unique hashtag logo for the first jet vane, I discovered a silver lining anyway. "At least I have a nice purple background." I saw a new icon pop up on my Android phone for the first time.
But Slack seems to have died to make the logo common. Perhaps it is because you are using a white background instead of purple today.
Almost like any other app on your phone.
Surprisingly, Slack says it is easy to create to discover slack apps.
Starting today, the mobile app icon that the user slackened from purple to white. This makes it easier to view on your device.

What I say:
Yes, it is certainly less confusing.
It also does not look like Apple's default photo app.
But now I find it a little harder to find the hidden patchwork of the Slack logo in negative space.
You can temporarily view the phone logo on the lower right slack (Slack) on your phone. I will miss purple.
