Sea of Thieves Fort of the Damned update is now live for everyone

The monthly update of "Fort of the Damned" content from Sea of Thieves is now available to all game players. The update includes new features that have a "creepy" feeling before the upcoming holidays in a couple of weeks.

New skeleton pets have arrived at Pirate Emporium, the game store to buy exclusive items with the recently added premium currency, Ancient Coins. The new pets, Skeleton Cockatoo and Skeleton Marmoset, are exclusive to the Fort of the Damned update and will be removed from the store when the next monthly content update is made.

The update will also bring a new mode of competition to The Arena, allowing players to compete against each other in a "two-person Sloop," according to the Xbox Wire blog post. In addition, six new contest locations have been introduced, each with two variations, with chests in advanced positions for players to take to very challenging delivery locations.

The update also brings a number of other things, including the new banjo burial for players to try. The new achievements in cosmetics, booties and Xbox are also just some of the novelties, with the full list of additions available on the Sea of Thieves website.

The content update is being implemented for everyone who currently plays Sea of Thieves: either a purchased copy or Xbox Game Pass, on Windows 10 or Xbox One free of charge. What do you think of the new additions?
