Samsung teases its foldable phone reveal with social media avatars

Samsung's developer conference begins this weekend. In other words, you will finally see the long awaited release of a folding smartphone. In anticipation of this release, Samsung has changed the profile picture of both accounts and displayed some unfamiliar hints on Twitter and on their Facebook profile to show the company logo folded.

This phone, which is expected to be equipped with a tablet-sized screen that folds into a pocket, has been rumored for almost half a century. (The concept trailer was produced in 2013.) Earlier this year, the CEO of Samsung threatened that it might be released at the developer conference, although it may have to wait until next year for the forum.

There can be serious competition when phones come out. Huawei, Lenovo, Xiaomi and LG all have flexible display plans. One company, Royale Corporation, was able to produce an actual prototype that could be released before the end of the year.

Samsung's Developer Conference will start at 1:00 pm / 10:00 am on November 7th.
