Samsung allegedly postponed the Chinese launch of its upcoming Galaxy Fold smartphone, according to SamMobile . The site cites people familiar with the situation for which the official reason is due to a problem with the site, but notes that other activities related to the launch have also been delayed or canceled.
The editor-in-chief of Engadget Chinese Richard Lai also noted on Twitter that planned events in Hong Kong and Shanghai to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday have been postponed. We have contacted Samsung to make comments, and we will update this publication if we receive a response.

The message comes shortly after a series of reports by technical journalists who found that their review devices were damaged. after only a couple of days of use, from problems with the hinge to broken screens and protective covers that are accidentally removed from the screen.
Following those reports, Samsung issued a statement saying it will "thoroughly inspect these units in person to determine the cause of the problem," but indicated that it is planning to move forward with its EEs. UU launch on April 26.
Samsung has a lot at stake in this first generation device. The $ 1,980 phone is the highest profile flip phone to reach the market, and reports that the devices are breaking after just a couple of days of use, it is potentially a major setback.
