Pixel Slate is Google’s new detachable Chrome OS tablet

Google takes another shot at the Pixel tablet, and has a high-end removable product comparable to the iPad Pro and Surface Pro. Pixel Slate is a Chrome OS tablet with a removable keyboard cover, much like a laptop.

The full details have not been announced yet, but the keyboard cover comes with a circular key cap that is not often seen on the keyboard, but the video is early and the tablet is nice.

This is my second attempt at making Pixel branded tablet on Google. Pixel C's last attempt, the Keyboard C, is a removable device that can be used with the keyboard cover. However, because Pixel C does not have an optimized app, the tablet has never run out of Android. Pixel Slate, on the other hand, has both advantages. Supports Android apps that work seamlessly with touch, running Chrome OS running on a laptop.

Pixel Slate is a much more promising proposition, but it does not guarantee a hit. Chrome OS is just getting into the tablet, and the initial results show that it's not as powerful as it really is. We had to improve things over the last few months to make it worth buying an expensive product instead of an existing Chromebook.
