OneDrive for iOS gets support for dark mode just in time for iOS 13

After the Outlook application for iOS was updated with support for dark mode, it is now the turn of the OneDrive iOS application to get a new layer of black paint. The new dark theme option is ready for iOS 13, which Apple has just released for the iPhone 6S and newer models.

iOS 13 includes a dark theme option throughout the system, and the OneDrive application should respect it once you turn it on dark mode activated in the system configuration. In addition to reducing visual fatigue, the dark theme should also be more efficient with the battery in recent iPhone with OLED screens, including the new iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max.

Last month, Microsoft announced a new effort between companies to bring dark mode to the larger set of Microsoft 365. Eventually, this release will be extended to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, Planner and To-Do in mobile devices, and we cannot wait to see more application developers who adopt the dark mode in their applications.
