With less than a week before Microsoft's October 2 Surface event, information about the new products Microsoft plans to launch in the fall continues to escape. The French blog FrAndroid states that today it has seen some of Microsoft's new Surface products in person, although the report does not include any images to not compromise its source.
This new report corroborates almost all the information we have learned about Microsoft's next Surface line in previous leaks, with additional details. According to FrAndroid, the Surface Pro 7 codenamed "Harper" will maintain its familiar design, although a USB-C port will replace the less versatile MiniDisplay port. The Surface Connect and USB-A ports will apparently continue to exist, which is probably the best.
In addition to this incremental update of the Surface Pro line, Microsoft has also been working on a Surface Pro with a new ARM processor ("Excalibur"), and this device should be quite different from the new Surface Pro 7. FrAndroid says it has a bezel-free design similar to the new Apple Pros iPad, and this model has dropped the MiniDisplay and USB-A ports in favor of USB-C.
Interestingly, the report says that this new Surface device codenamed "Campus" could be launched as "Surface 7". Thanks to its ARM processor, this Surface 7 should also offer cellular connectivity, making it a great device to take with you on the go.
We previously learned that the Surface Laptop 3 can come in a new 15 "variant with AMD processors, and FrAndroid adds today that one of the m odels will be available without the Alcantara keyboard that is included in all Surface Laptop 1 models. and 2. In addition, Surface Laptop 3 will offer two USB-C ports, which would be a very welcome change.
Microsoft Observer WalkingCat revealed yesterday that Microsoft could introduce "new sexy colors" for its Surface 2019 devices, including "Sandstone", "Poppy Red" and "Ice Blue." FrAndroid also mentioned these new color options today, although the report did not specify whether they would be restricted to the new Surface Pro Type covers or extended to the Surface Laptop 3.
In a separate report, Roland Quandt from the German blog WinFuture.de also states today that Microsoft plans to introduce a new classic ergonomic keyboard, along with many other accessories. New to PC. Citing retailer information, Quandt also mentioned a
