Motorola’s vertically folding RAZR shown in leaked renders

Press reports claiming to show that the unannounced Motorola RAZR V4 have appeared online in a publication now deleted on Weibo. The images were reloaded later in SlashLeaks . If they are real, the renders are our first look at the design of the phone outside of a patent, and they seem to confirm its folding screen design with notches. GSMArena notes that the images show a wireless charging stand that is included with the phone along with a typical range of accessories, all housed within a triangular prism package.

The appearance of the RAZR shown in the presents the lines with the design shown in a patent detected in January, although it is impossible to see if it confirms a separate rumor on a second screen on the front of the device. Unlike its competitors Samsung and Huawei, the RAZR seems to fold vertically instead of horizontally. The design means that it is a phone that bends to be more portable, instead of a tablet that bends to be the size of a phone. According to the original report of The Wall Street Journal the phone will cost $ 1,500 when it is finally released.

When that is so, nobody knows. When Motorola confirmed that it was working on a new RAZR in February, it said it would come out ", [no] later than everyone else in the market." However, without firm release dates announced for its competitors, the Samsung delayed Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X, Motorola's statement is much less clear.
