Microsoft just tested its Edge browser for macOS yesterday, but now, download links have appeared online a bit earlier. The Twitter user WalkingCat discovered the official Microsoft download links to both the Edge Canary compilations for daily Chromium Macs and the weekly Dev compilations. Microsoft has been working to support Mac keyboard shortcuts, and has been experimenting with placing buttons to make your browser look and feel like a Mac application.
Microsoft is also incorporating support for the Mac. Touch bar, with options for media control sliders and the ability to change tabs from the touch bar. The rounded corners for the tabs are also available in the MacOS Edge version, and Microsoft plans to bring this same user interface to Windows. Microsoft also just announced new privacy controls for Edge and a new Collections feature to collect images, texts and general notes from the web. These new features are not yet available in Edge's Mac version, but the company plans to include them in both Windows and MacOS compilations.
Since download links (from Microsoft servers) are active, it's safe. Microsoft is likely to make Edge for Mac officially available very soon. If you do not want to wait, here are the download links from Microsoft:
