Microsoft unveils new Surface Book 2 model with Intel’s latest quad-core processor

Microsoft is quietly refreshing the Surface Book 2 base model today. The software giant brings Intel's latest 8th Gen quad-core i5 processor to its 13-inch Surface Book 2 model and sells its existing dual-core 7th generation at a discounted price of $ 1,299. The new quad-core model costs $ 1,499 and includes the i5-8350U, which boosts the processor's maximum boost clock speed up to 3.6GHz.

The new medium-sized surfacebook 2 has 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. The processor is the only significant change, but you must make a big difference in performance. The performance of quad-core Surface Pro 6 models is significantly improved compared to the dual-core chips used in previous models. Microsoft rumored to rerelease Surface Book 2 and quietly released the new model today.

Microsoft will also host the Surface event on April 17th in New York. The company will detail the price and availability of Surface Hub 2 hardware and accessories and office furniture for Steelcase. Verge takes care of Microsoft's Surface NYC event, so stay tuned for all the news.
