Microsoft has focused on business users for years, and that trend continues with the implementation of the ability to manage corporate-owned Android devices with Microsoft Intune. The new capability allows IT managers and corporations to deliver the desired scenarios to the devices. The process also helps "ensure that endpoints and devices are secure," according to the Microsoft blog post announcing the new feature.

In the blog post, Microsoft breaks down how Microsoft Intune helps control and protect business devices.

"With support for fully managed Android Enterprise Devices, Microsoft 365 customers can offer a high-quality and feature-rich productivity scenario for employees on corporate devices, while maintaining an extended set of policy controls on those devices, now available.

Microsoft recently announced its own Android device, the Surface Duo. The dual-screen device has gained popularity in almost all spheres of technology, but one area in which it will be used is the company. Microsoft also has an extensive library of Android applications for both general consumers and professional users. The incorporation of Microsoft Intune to Android is a natural progression for the company that is increasingly focusing on the Android business experience.

Microsoft breaks down the process in much more detail in a publication of the community that launched in late September.
