Micosoft Edge Dev and Canary get a more natural aloud reading experience

Microsoft has announced that Edge Dev and Canary experts can now experience 24 text-to-speech voices in the cloud with the Read in Voice feature high. It will be a significant change from the standard version of Microsoft Edge, which features audio with robotic sound and a complicated process of installing language packs.

These 24 cloud-fed voices are powered by Microsoft Cognitive Services and will be available through 21 locations. Microsoft is using two specific voice styles, neural voices, as well as standard voices. The neural voices will sound in the most natural way, and some of the standard voices will have a speed of 24 kbps to make them sound clearer.

You can test these features at this time by opening Edge Dev or Canary by selecting a block of text, and to the right -Click on "Read aloud. Selection" Then you can select the different voices from the pop-up menu "Choose a voice "Under the bookmarks bar. There are also additional controls for voice speed.

In case you missed it, a similar function of reading aloud also came to Microsoft Edge on iOS, although it is only available for pages in English Let us know if you will use this new function to read aloud in the comments below.
