According to Crystal Dynamics, the game has & # 39; a cast of stars & # 39; which includes Laura Bailey, Nolan North and Troy Baker, some of the most prominent voice actors in the video game industry.

It was at E3 this year that we also learned that the game will have a multiplayer component along with a single player campaign, although it was not shown during the event, but we had the time in the game. Gamescom 2019.

PS4 beta

According to the official Twitter page of the game, Marvel & # 39; s Avengers will have a beta version on PS4 before launch. However, Crystal Dynamics has not revealed when or how we can access the beta version. Watch the tweet below:

Maybe cross generation?

During a question and answer session at Gamescom 2019 we asked Crystal Dynamics if Marvel & # 39; s Avengers will be a cross-generation title, considering it will be launched next year and the team plans to support it in the long term. While the developers did not completely confirm or deny, the smile and laughter we received suggested that this is the case.

Stadia

Crystal Dynamics has confirmed that Avengers will come to Google Stadia.

Skill trees

As you progress, you will unlock skill points and trees that will allow you to specify your playing style. The skills include classic and new movements, and are classified into the following categories: primary, specialty, ability and utility.

Win and improve the equipment

You can customize your equipment to suit your playing style. The equipment has a variable rarity and, as you go, you can unlock advantages for the pieces of equipment.

War table

Players choose hero missions (single player campaign centered on a hero) or war zone missions (can be played with any hero on a team of up to four people) from the war table. Hero missions will develop the story and allow you to unlock new heroes, while war zone missions expand the narrative.

Who is the bad guy?

Crystal Dynamics has now shared that the Avengers will do so primarily by fighting a corporation called & # 39; Advanced Idea Mechanics & # 39; (also known as AIM), which believes that science will save the world. With the superheroes banned after the Day A incident, AIM has replaced them with AI, which also keep the supers under control.

Cosmetic microtransactions

The Avengers will have a market where players can buy cosmetic costumes for their heroes While some sets can be unlocked, others must be purchased with real-life money. According to Crystal Dynamics, there are sets that cover the history of comics, television shows, movies and more of Marvel.

Comic-Con of San Diego

The Comic-Con of San Diego went and left but not without major events for Marvel's Avengers fans. In a panel for the game, presented by creative director Shaun Escayg, he explained to the attendees that the game would allow players to play an original Avengers story, with customizable heroes and online multiplayer. There will be a main story campaign where you will play as the different Avengers, and then the online cooperative, which is where you will customize your character. This customization will include skill trees, as well as changes in appearance.

Game images were also shown. While this footage was supposed to be for attendees only and was released around Gamescom to the public, it was leaked and you can see the footage leaked by yourself in our previous progress section.

The images showed the prologue of the game's main story campaign that sees a one-day event in San Francisco that went wrong after an explosion. Images of Thor, Iron Man and Hulk in action against the minions of Taskmaster. It shows the different types of movements and abilities that each hero brings to the table, but also reveals that more of the central group will appear in the game. Mrs. Marvel appears in the footage, but it is unknown whether it will be playable or not.

Online and solo game

It has been confirmed that Marvel & # 39; s Avengers will offer players the opportunity to play offline and alone, despite their focus on the multiplayer experience online. In an interview with GamesIndustryBiz, Crystal Dynamics chief Scott Amos said players "can have a complete experience and have fun" even if they never go online.

No payments or loot boxes

Scott Amos has also confirmed that payment walls and loot boxes will not be a feature of the game. It seems that monetization will come from completely optional cosmetic purchases. This will allow players to invest in their favorite heroes and make them look exactly as they want.

"The idea, from the beginning, is that we want you to customize your hero; how they look, how they play, the equipment they have and how they use it," said Amos.

"Your Black Widow could be different from my Black Widow, just a little, maybe a lot, depending on what you prefer and how you unlock things."

Of course, players can also earn customization items while they play too.

Official revelation

Marvel & # 39; s Avengers was finally revealed at the 2019 Square Enix E3 press conference on Monday night, giving us our first real glimpse of the game since it was announced in January 2017. [19659002] A "tribute to Stan"

Crystal Dynamics has revealed that the Marvel & # 39; s Avengers game is a tribute to Stan Lee, who died in 2018. When asked if Stan would appear in the game, the developer seemed shy, but hinted that we will see the legend appear.

Playability [19659002] The most important thing we saw was the gameplay, which seemed to be an adventure in third person on the same line as Marvel's Spider-Man. We know that we will have the opportunity to play like almost all the most famous Avengers at some point, with the exception of Hawkeye, which unfortunately was not part of the presentation.

Marvel's Avengers will feature "a continuous player and cooperative game," and that players can "gather in teams of up to four players, master extraordinary abilities … and combine powers," that is, a multiplayer component in line that Crystal Dynamics has not yet revealed, but we hope to hear. More on that later.

Focus on history

Marvel & # 39; s Spider-Man left us hallucinated last year with a heart-filled story, characters that mattered to us and some sensational performances. Square Enix and developer Crystal Dynamics have a wonderful opportunity to present a narration in line with the incredible list of Marvel characters they have inherited.

Fortunately, it seems they are doing exactly that with Avengers.

We know that the game takes place after A-Day, the day the Avengers are honored for their service to the community. However, this day of jubilation is quickly ruined, and our heroes are shattered, which gives us a true dismounted vibe.

Apparently, the heroes are back together and will have to face a new threat that was not revealed in the trailer.

Continuous content?

Crystal Dynamics emphasized the idea of a "continuous" Game in a "world in constant expansion." All this content can reach PS4 first thanks to an agreement between Square Enix and Sony, but everything will be free on all platforms. Recent service games such as Destiny, Anthem and The Division 2 are not exactly praised for their top-level narratives, so we hope that the revelation confirms that the experience will not be diluted in favor of permanent income.

New and varied range of playable heroes

Decades of comics and 22 films throughout 11 years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe ensure that fans know many classic Marvel heroes. While we love Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk and Thor, we believe it is time to present some new and less known faces in Marvel Avengers.

Unfortunately, for whatever reason, Hawkeye was not part of the presentation and Hank Pym, also known as Ant Man, only got a supporting role.

We would love to see Khan in the center of the stage, maybe even with others. Recent Avengers, such as Iron Heart, Miles Morales and Squirrel Girl. Why not?

It's the biggest Crystal Dynamics game in history

In a recent interview, Crystal Dynamics studio director Scott Amos told GamesIndustry.biz that this is the Biggest developer game to date, which requires five studies from around the world to do:

"We had to change the way we work, how we are organized as a team, the number of people we need to do this, the number of external partners … We had to go hire experts like Shaun Escayg, who is our creative director. He told stories for Uncharted and The Last of Us [at Naughty Dog] we needed him to help tell this story. Dave Fifield was a game director who worked at Halo and Call of Duty, we needed him to help us with multiplayer mode, "said Amos.

The five studies working on the title are Crystal Dynamics in Redwood Shores, a new study in Bellevue called Crystal North West, Crystal Dynamics partners in the Netherlands, Nixxes, Eidos Montreal and even Square Enix Japan.

Five teams to give life to the five Avengers? Sounds good.
