Live captions coming next months to Microsoft Teams, preview available now

Microsoft Teams is receiving support for live subtitles, allowing participants to Teams meetings to see subtitles when other people are talking. The Microsoft 365 roadmap lists the feature that will be released in November 2019, but Microsoft MVP Tony Redmond reports today that the feature is already available in the desktop application preview.

Live subtitle enablement is currently enabled, and you can do so with the ellipsis (…) in the bottom bar when you are in a meeting. However, Office 365 administrators must first enable the feature in the Computer Management Center.

English will be the first spoken language supported for Live Captions once features are generally available next month. . Many other new features are currently being developed for Microsoft teams, including the ability to anchor selected channels in the application for easy access.
