Microsoft is hosting a Surface hardware event in New York City on Tuesday (October 2nd) and due to a new leak, Surface Laptop 2 and Surface Pro 6 will be announced. Microsoft assumed that the two devices will feature new hardware at this event as a modern USB-C port. WinFuture claims that the Surface Laptop 2 or Surface Pro 6 does not include a USB-C port.
Instead, Microsoft uses the trusted Mini DisplayPort and Surface Connector combo to display and charge devices. If the report is authentic, it would be Microsoft's marvelous move and it would match the leaked spill photos on the Surface Laptop 2. The software maker has introduced USB-C for both Surface Book 2 and Surface Go devices, and it seems strange not to refresh Surface Pro and Surface Laptop with the same connector.
