Jarvish’s smart motorcycle helmets will offer Alexa and Siri support and an AR display

Smart helmets seem to be one of the great ideas that have not really escaped yet. That does not mean the company is still in the test. Jarvish has an interesting idea with upcoming Jarvish X and Jarvish X-AR motorcycle helmets on Engadget with the latest version attempting to claim the crown.

Jarvish X is the base of both models. Provides integrated microphones and speakers for Siri, Google Assistant, and Alexa support, giving the wearer access to music control via direction, weather updates, and voice control. The helmet has a built-in 2K front-facing camera so you can record your trip. It costs $ 799 when you hit Kickstarter in January.

The X-AR offers all of the above features and adds Google Glass-style augmented reality displays such as current speed, redirect, weather, incoming calls and rear view. Mirror reflex video feed of the second rear camera on the back of the helmet. It's an ambitious idea, but it really depends on how well it works. (AR displays are notoriously not known to be right.) Thanks to the added AR technology, the Jarvish X-AR is much more expensive at $ 2,599.

Engadget says that Jarvish can help alleviate concerns about technology for this helmet because it already sells first generation X helmets in Taiwan. Sales next year.
