Imagine an Upside Down world where a vastly inferior OS went on to dominate… Stranger Things have happened

Microsoft disappointed fans today by revealing that their Windows 1 taunt was not a precursor to another open-sourcing, but just a marketing link.

Now available in Microsoft Store, the Windows 1.11 application is, like many I suspect, just a little bit of fun. Unfortunately, the thing fails to turn Windows 10 into something a little more retro, but rather it is the great hits published, with the likes of Terminal and Paint appearing together with mysterious failures associated with Netflix's latest effort to strengthen its base of subscribers.

It's not as if Windows 1 did not have enough failures of its own at the time. If you want a more authentic experience, there are many emulators in the browser that can provide that IBM XT CGA 256Kb experience.

For those who have managed to evade the phenomenon (or have simply turned the transmission service around), Stranger Things is a journey nostalgic back to the 80s, full of a touch of horror thanks to an alternative world to which the young cast called "The Upside Down". Without wanting to ruin things, the last series seems to have increased a bit the "ew" quota with respect to some of the thorniest elements.

Microsoft, along with many other brands, has hooked its marketing wagon to the program. There are also Xbox candy at play, including a themed arcade cabinet. The company also plans Camp Know Where STEM sessions starting July 20 in its physical stores aimed at students 13 and older.

Netflix, however, has rated the program with "15". We are confident that the planned experience so that the poppets that go to the stores does not imply "strong threats, bloody violence, moderate sex, discriminatory language" Unless part of the experience is trying to make the Mac, the PCs Windows and Linux workstations work in harmony using Active Directory.

As for the show, we can only imagine what it must be like to be trapped in the fiction. In reverse, Where rationality appears absent. My God, the inhabitants of such a cursed place would probably allow a voracious corporation to take over their computers with an atrocious mixture of an old operating system and GUI, joined with spit and duct tape.
