How to pin a list of Microsoft pending tasks to the Windows 10 Start menu

To pin a list of Microsoft pending tasks to the Start menu:

  1. Start the Pending Tasks application.
  2. Right-click any of the lists shown in the left navigation menu.
  3. Click "Pin to Start" in the menu that appears.

Applies to all versions of Windows 10

Microsoft To-Do is a convenient application to quickly point tasks and control your work items. However, there are still some steps involved to start the application, select the correct list and review your tasks.

You can simplify the procedure by anchoring your favorite lists directly to your Windows Start menu. The lists have Live Tiles with all the functions that show the latest tasks within the list.

This is simple to set up but it may be something that you have missed. Start Pending Tasks and right-click on any of the lists in the navigation menu (press and hold Windows 10 Mobile). In the menu that appears, click on "Pin to start".

That's it! Open the Start menu and you will see your new tile appear. After a few moments, you should update and show the latest tasks within your list. You can change the size of the mosaic by right clicking and exploring the options in the "Resize" submenu. Tap the tile to start Pending Tasks and immediately jump to the selected list. Earlier this week, Microsoft accidentally released a compilation of Windows 10 Insider that contained a new start menu without Live Tiles, so we'll have to see how long they are still valid. For now, however, you can take full advantage of Live Tiles with Microsoft To-Do

Live Tiles are available to all To-do lists, including the My Day view and the smart lists of the application. Tiles allow you to verify your pending tasks without opening the application, using only the Windows 10 Start menu. They can be particularly useful when using Windows 10 in tablet mode, or if you still have a mobile device with Windows 10.
