Read this tutorial on how to use Microsoft Adhesive Notes in Windows 10, on the web and on your iPhone or Android phone.
Microsoft’s Sticky Notes are a quick and convenient way to create and post reminders and other types of notes on your Windows desktop. But not only are they limited to Windows, you can also access their sticky notes on the web and on an iPhone or Android phone. The key is to use your Microsoft account to synchronize your notes across different locations and devices. Then you can create, edit and synchronize your sticky notes on your PC, the web and your mobile phones.
For this to work, you will need a Microsoft account and the mobile application for Microsoft OneNote for your iPhone or Android phone. The TechRepublic article on How to get the most out of the Windows 10 Sticky Notes application with a Task View desktop is a good guide if you have not delved into the Sticky Notes. For this article, I will assume that you are already working with Sticky Notes on Windows and that you have created existing notes.

First, you must launch Sticky Notes to log in and synchronize your account. . You can start Sticky Notes in four ways:
- Click the Start button, scroll down in the application list and select the shortcut for Sticky Notes.
- Type sticky in the search field and click on the result for Sticky Notes.
- Call Cortana saying, “Hey Cortana, start Sticky Notes.”
- Right-click on the taskbar and select the option to display the Work area button with Windows ink. Then click on the icon in the system tray for the Windows ink workspace and select Sticky Notes.
In the main window of Sticky Notes, click on the gear icon for Configuration ( Figure A ).
Click on the sign in and then sign in with your Microsoft account ( Figure B ).
] One The advantage of logging in is that you can see and work with the same sticky notes on any Windows 10 computer. To try, open Sticky Notes on another Windows 10 PC. Launch the application, open Settings and make sure you are logged in with your Microsoft account. If so, you will see the same notes available on your first computer. Make a change to your notes on this PC, and they will be displayed on your other PC ( Figure C ).
Now , let’s see sticky notes on the web. Turn on your browser and go to its Adhesive Notes website. Sign in with your Microsoft account. Your sticky notes should be synchronized so you can see the same ones you saw on your Windows 10 devices. Make changes to your Sticky Notes here ( Figure D ).
The the changes are propagated to the Windows 10 application ( Figure E ).
] Next, let’s look at mobile applications. For this to work, you currently need the mobile version of Microsoft OneNote, which you can download in the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android. The sticky notes feature in OneNote is currently compatible with the iPhone, but not for the iPad.
The iPhone and Android OneNote applications work in a similar way, so the process to access and work with your Adhesive Notes is the same on both platforms. Start the iOS or Android application and log in with your Microsoft account. On your phone, touch the Sticky Notes tab. To edit an existing note, simply touch its entry. To add a new note, touch the + icon ( Figure F ).
And While using Sticky Notes through the OneNote application on your phone, a good trick is that you can add an image to a note. To do this, tap the note you want to flavor an image and select the camera icon. Take a photo or select an image from your library. Tap Done. You can crop and perform a light edit on the image. Touch Done again to add the image to your note ( Figure G ).
