Back! First your iPhone!
As with all software updates, it is important to make sure you have a backup of your current data. While iOS updates are generally easy, it doesn't mean it can't go wrong. You probably already have your device making a backup in iCloud. But you must do it manually once more before installing the update. Go to Settings> Apple ID> iCloud> iCloud Backup> Backup now .
And since this is an important update, you should consider backing up your device through iTunes or a third-party application on your computer. You have an archived local backup.
Clean your iPhone
Important updates like this one are quite large. This is a good time to clean your phone and free up storage space. Especially if you have a phone with limited space like a 32GB model. Check your iPhone and delete old photos, videos and applications that you no longer need. The games take up a good part of the space, so get rid of the ones you don't play. You can always come back and reinstall them later after the update. Also, be sure to delete that annoying "Other" storage category on your phone.
Install iOS 13 on iPhone
Once you have a backup of your data and clean storage, it's time to install iOS 13. Make sure your phone has a full battery charge. Or better yet, just keep it connected during the update. Then go to Settings> General> Software update and tap the button Download and install . Enter your security code and accept the EULA and it will be on its way.
Now sit down and wait a moment while the update process is taking place. Remember that the phone will restart a few times to complete the update. The amount of time it takes will vary depending on the load of the Apple server, the model of your phone and the network connection.
Once the update is complete, you will receive a notification that you are ready to begin. You should navigate through some initial setup screens. After that, you can start exploring the new features of iOS 13.
Apple's iOS 13 is an important update and includes several new features so expected. Namely, dark mode. But there is much to deepen here and enjoy after installation. It is also worth noting that Apple will release iOS 13.1 on September 24, which includes features that failed to cut 13.0. It will also bring a series of fixes and general improvements to the system for iOS 13.
Please note that Apple Watch users are receiving an update since watchOS 6 is also being implemented today. And this is the first time that the new version of iOS is not available for iPad users. You must wait until September 30 to obtain the new iPadOS 13. specific for iPad
