This Minecraft tutorial explains how to make a conduit with step-by-step instructions. In Minecraft, conduits are another important item in inventory. Conduits are Items, used to create structures that can give conduit power effects to nearby players.
Why make a conduit in Minecraft?
Find out why and how you are here!
Conduit is one of the more interesting blocks of Minecraft. In fact, they are curious enough to never know that they exist at all. But they are. The conduit does a few things that players who love to play or explore underwater can look cool, but first let’s see how to make one of these bad boys.
How to make a conduit in Minecraft
8 nautilus shells
Heart of the sea 1
How to get a nautilus shell
Even with Minecraft’s 1.5.0, getting a nautilus shell and the heart of the sea, is still a pain.
Nautilus shells can be killed by fishing or drowning. Both options are very rare, so it’s up to the user to decide which method to use!
It is also possible to get a Nautilus shell from a wandering merchant, but it is much harder than just fishing or being killed. Fishing is probably the best way.
How to get the heart of the sea
Getting the heart of the sea, is much harder than getting as many as eight nautilus shells you need. The heart of the sea, can only be found in buried treasure chests. It’s like finding a needle in a haystack without any help.
You can find buried treasure chests using the buried treasure explorer map. There are two ways to get one of these treasure maps. You can also find underwater ruins of the chest that may contain maps, or sell one of the villagers to an apprentice or traveler mapmaker.
If you want to do it in a difficult way, you will have to dig a lot of sand. Buried treasure chests are most often found under the sand on the beach, but rarely found in underwater sand.
How to use conduits in Minecraft
It’s very important to bring everything together in survival mode, but it’s worth it if you want to use new species and whistles in 1.5.0.
To activate it first, you need to know what it is necessary to wrap the conduit with water. This doesn’t have to be the ocean, nor does the running water.
At least 16 freeze marines, freeze marine bricks, dark freeze marines or sea lanterns should be placed around the conduit. You can increase the range of effect by placing up to 42 blocks of this type.
At 16 blocks, the conduit affects up to 32 blocks around.
At 42 blocks, the conduit affects up to 96 blocks around.
Conduits provide conduit power state effects to all players within their range. This status effect is really frightening for players building underwater or adventurous like this:
- Increases underwater vision
- Infinite underwater breathing
- Subsidies to speed up mining
- Kill aggro mobs within range
It’s basically a super powerful bubble with no bubble visual effects! It’s easy to see why the conduit is the best friend of a marine player, but you can’t deny that this is a block that puts real effort not only to make, but also to make good use of it.
Perhaps it goes perfectly with an underwater fortress? If you think this guide is useful, check out our other Minecraft guides or numerous Minecraft seedlists. We share new hand picked seeds every month.
