The choice was relatively straightforward when it launched a new Microsoft Surface laptop or tablet on the market. For powerful laptops with detachable screens, you can use Surface Book or Surface Pro for possible tablets with detachable keyboards, or Surface Laptop or Surface Go if you don't need a lot of power and aren't interested in tablet or laptop mode.
Microsoft released Surface Pro X and Surface Pro 7 portable 2, which improved all the features. On the same day, not to mention the Surface Neo dual-screen tablet and Surface Duo folding phone. Since I will not ship until late 2020 I would like to know, do not mention the last two again.
But suppose you are ready to buy a new product. It's possible that Surface is currently using a USB-C port without having to charge and sling data through its proprietary Surface Connect cable. Should I use Surface Pro X with a new Qualcomm processor? Or is it Surface Pro 7 from Intel?
It depends on what you're most interested in.
Power of the program: Surface Pro 7, perhaps
This will help you make your decision.
I'm not sure until the review device comes out, but it's safe to say that the Intel processor on Surface Pro 7 is a better way than the ARM-based Qualcomm chip on Surface Pro X. ] Use an existing Windows desktop application. and are available for pre-order right away.
Windows 10 allows these Win32 programs to run on ARM-based chips, but saves time because they use apps that don't work. Developers need to recompile some programs to work in ARM, they didn't interfere with much work, and Windows on ARM doesn't support some of the skills required for PC games like OpenGL.
Qualcomm's chips can be proven to run native Windows and web browsing tasks faster. Recently, iPad experts have watched up to 3GHz using ARM teraflops' graphic oomph, as the ARM processor is not crappy. ARM processors have been compared to Intel's dual and quad-core 15-watt CPUs, which are not hampered by incompatibility issues.
But don't worry or assuming your life is mostly on the web …
Portability: Surface Pro X
Microsoft the easiest to carry when needed The tablet, Surface Pro X, is a slate. It's actually 1.7 pounds the same weight as the 12.7-inch Surface Pro 7, and the 13-inch display is bigger, but much thinner at 7.3mm compared to 8.38mm. Look at the photo above. Tom Warren of Verge says that thinness actually makes the tablet lighter and much easier to pack in a bag.
It also has built-in LTE cellular connectivity, so there's no need to pay extra for the LTE version as it's a Qualcomm chip. It would be nice to put it in your phone plan. Surface Pro 7 has Wi-Fi 6.
If you are a stylus user, Surface Pro X has a feature. It can be neatly hidden inside the hinge of the keyboard cover (optional), so you can never lose it again.
The travel time will be longer with 13 hours of battery life for the 10.5 hours of Surface Pro 7. But among these numbers and two knit 150 the screen brightness is quite dim. Especially when you go outdoors.
Port: Surface Pro 7 In addition to the new USB, Surface Pro 7 has a USB-A port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSD card reader. -C port.
Surface Pro X is not supported. There are two USB-C ports, but it's good. You can use Bluetooth headphones and / or dongle.
There's also a dedicated Surface Connect port for two different data and charging methods. It also doesn't support Thunderbolt 3.
Price: Surface Pro 7
Technically, if you need 16GB of memory and 512GB of Core i7, you can raise the price of your Surface Pro 7 at a much higher price than Surface Pro X. 1 TB of solid state storage – costs $ 1,899 or $ 2,299, respectively. There is no 1TB option on X, and 16GB / 512GB configurations are actually cheaper at $ 1,799 to $ 100.
But if you're a price-conscious buyer using less silicon, Surface Pro 7 can start at a lower price and maintain a higher price for the same amount of memory and storage.

Technically upgraded to Surface Pro X Possible SSDs, but not necessarily It's as simple as the original sound. In order to work properly, you need to find and buy a fairly niche M.2 2230 solid state drive (much shorter than the standard type).
Also when you want to turn your tablet into a multifunctional work machine with an optional tablet and stylus without adding all these prices – for $ 139.99, the Surface Pro X keyboard costs $ 10 more than the standard Surface Pro Type Cover, but with the new $ 144.99 Surface Slim The Pen is $ 45 cheaper than the standard model.
Know it Now it's a pen that can be charged wirelessly using a wireless charging cradle instead of a keyboard or AAAA battery. But if you are looking for an inexpensive option, you should keep in mind.
The biggest reason to choose Surface Pro X with Surface Pro X is based on the information you currently have. (Surface Pro X also has a 10-megapixel rear camera that records 4K video to Surface Pro 7's 8MP, 1080p cameras, but it wasn't worth it.)
Either of these devices is possible. However, it will be underdelivered or overdelivered, so check out our review later this fall.
