Forty percent of “AI startups” in Europe don’t actually use AI, claims report

Artificial intelligence is one of the most misused terms in modern technology today, and new research clearly confirms how exaggerated the technology is.

According to a survey by London-based venture capital firm MMC, only 40% of European start-ups classified as AI companies actually use artificial intelligence in a way that is "important" to their business. MMC concluded its review of each company's "activity, focus, and funding" for 2,830 artificial intelligence startups in 13 EU countries.
