Apple is expected to release an iPhone with a triple camera array on the back, and new rumors suggest that the company's next iPad may also have multiple rear camera systems. Mac Otakara says that the next iPad Pro may come with a triple camera array, while a regular 10.2 inch iPad may come with a dual camera system.
Apple updated the iPad Mini and iPad Air earlier this year and will announce additional updates to the iPad and iPad Pro that may include the new camera system later this year. Mac Otakara quotes an Apple vendor's accessory diagram, which points to the iPad Pro getting a larger camera array. Rumor has it that the upcoming iPhone 11 has a similar system. In addition, the 6th generation iPad may come with the same dual camera settings as the iPhone 11 LCD model. The site said the model could be released in October.
Apple introduced a dual camera system on several of the latest iPhone models, but not on tablets. The latest iPad Pro has a single camera with a 12 megapixel sensor, the latest iPad Mini, iPad Air. iPad comes with an 8 megapixel sensor. Multi-camera systems can be part of Apple's AR ambitions. Earlier this year Bloomberg reported that the upcoming iPhone's triple camera array will be used for augmented reality apps, and the iPad Pro can also use the same system.
