Apple’s iCloud services are suffering an extended outage

Apple's iCloud service seems to be down today. Some users report problems accessing iCloud-based apps and services, such as finding Notes and My iPhone. In an update on the System Status page, Apple points out that iCloud is experiencing some kind of service outage. Whatever the problem is, everyone seems to be affected.

In addition to Find My iPhone and Backup, there are some serious software tools that rely on the problematic iCloud infrastructure, such as the iCloud Keychain for secure logins and general account sign-in for iOS devices and Macs.
