Apple launches Apple Arcade game subscription for iOS, Mac, and Apple TV

Apple today introduces a new subscription service for Apple Arcade games at the company's "show time" event. Unlike the cloud gaming services of competitors such as Sony, Microsoft, Google and Nvidia, the subscription of Apple games is not designed to transmit games to iOS devices. Instead, it is a subscription game service for titles that can be installed from the App Store.

More than 1 billion people have downloaded games from the App Store and there are more than 300,000 games available. Apple expects Apple Arcade to convert some of these major titles into a subscription service. There will be 100 new and exclusive games available in Apple Arcade, which will be launched on iOS, Mac and Apple TV.

These games will not be available on any other mobile platform or any other subscription service other than Apple Arcade. The games will be downloaded and played directly from the App Store, and subscribers can try the games whenever they wish. All game features, content and future updates will be included, and no ads will be displayed within the games.
