Anker announces upgraded Nebula Capsule II mini projector, now with USB-C and 720p resolution

Anker hosted a hardware event in New York City today and was wrapped in other announcements. It was an update on the release date of one of our mini projectors as well as one of the smart speakers with Google Assistant.

This second model of the Nevula Capsule line still runs Android TV but features a USB-C charging port. It includes a high resolution image at 720p, a bright image at 200 lumens, a more powerful 8W speaker and Google Assistant.

When reviewing the original nebula capsules for The Verge we appreciate the complaint relocating to USB-C via this refresh because we relied on micro USB. This device can be fully charged over 2 hours and 30 minutes via the Anker's fast charging system. With this new feature, the model weighs slightly more than the previous model (24 ounces to 15 ounces).

The price of Capsule II also increases by $ 50. It will sell for $ 400 at Kickstarter, but it will initially sell new units, but it is unclear whether the price will go up after the crowdfunding campaign ends. Anker CEO Steven Yang The Verge says that the company is involved in crowdfunding and essentially builds hype. Instead of getting an early discount, the sponsor will "really help spread the word of mouth."

The projector still has HDMI port, USB, AUX output, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Chromecast functionality. .

On the other hand, Anker finally offers more news about the pretty Zero and Model Zero + smart speakers with built-in Google Assistant. The presenter was announced at CES but until now there are no pricing or release dates. It will be available in November for $ 199.99 and $ 249.99, respectively. Both devices have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled speakers with a Bluetooth lifetime of 10 hours. Model Zero + has something called "Designed by Scan-Speak" that enhances audio output definition and improves speaker sound as Anker says.
