Acer’s new, wood-patterned ConceptD PC looks like a humidifier

Acer announced two desktop computers in its new line ConceptD, a series aimed at professional creators who have a lot of money and need a lot of power and, in particular, a PC preloaded with Windows 10. In comparison with most of the products of Acer, one of these desktops has a panel with wooden drawings on top.

Beginning with the ConceptD 500 desktop computer shown in the image above, it is a huge tower powered by a ninety-generation Intel Core i9 processor, an Nvidia. Quadro RTX 4000 graphics card and support for up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM. Compared to most Acer products, this model has a somewhat contentious design with a panel with wooden drawings on top. I think it looks like a humidifier, although others in the office think it looks more like an ice box or a diffuser. As for the specifications, there is no doubt that this machine will not be able to the hands of the creators, but Acer also says that it can remain silent under pressure with fans who reach a maximum of 40db. This desktop starts at $ 1,699 and will be available in June 2019.

The ConceptD 900 is the high-end desktop offering in the new Acer series, and basically steps on the supercomputer status, both in terms of its specifications and its price of $ 19,999. As for what it offers, it includes two Intel Xeon Gold processors with 40 cores, the Quadro RTX 6000 GPU from Nvidia and supports up to 192 GB of RAM. This option takes the prize when it comes to performance, although it comes in a much dimmer black case that looks more in line with Acer's consumer grade products. But again, for $ 20K, Acer is showing off with this one.
